Butter + Maple = spreadable heaven.

At the start of fall, I happily grab all the pumpkin spice and maple things. Then I started making them. Turns out that maple butter is super easy to make and it goes with everything! Toast, pumpkin bread, banana spice bread (pictured), waffles, scones, corn on the cobs, sautéed chicken, you name it! Wherever butter belongs, maple butter enhances. I hope you try this and keep it as a staple in your fridge, like me!
Maple Butter

Makes 1/2 cup
Ingredients
12 tablespoons unsalted butter
1/2 cup pure maple syrup
pinch of salt
pinch of pumpkin spice (optional)
Instructions
Allow butter to soften.
Mix the softened butter, maple syrup, salt and pumpkin spice in a bowl.
Refrigerate and use as desired. That's it!
Notes
You can forgo the salt if you use salted butter.
A "pinch" is between an 1/8 and 1/4 teaspoon (in case you don't actually want to pinch the seasonings).
It's easier to mix if you have a stand or hand mixer, but they are not necessary.
